Overcast

You are the weather.

High above a sea of clouds floats a small valley. It has fourteen villagers, a lake, a windmill, a few fields and an old oak on a hill. They can't see you, but they talk to the sky anyway, and this year the sky is listening.

Gather clouds and drag them where they're needed. Tap a cloud to let it rain. Swipe up a gust to turn the windmill or blow a becalmed fisherman home. Shine a sunbeam to dry the washing, lay fog on the lake at dawn, or call down lightning on an inventor's copper rod.

Grant their wishes and their stories unfold in your journal, from the first spring rain to Lantern Night.

What's in it

• 16 days across four seasons: spring showers, summer storms, autumn fog and a winter that ends on Lantern Night.
• 5 ways to be the weather: Cloud, Wind, Sun, Lightning and Fog. Snow arrives with the winter.
• 14 villagers and 8 little stories. Every wish you grant (or miss) writes another page:
  • a farmer and her cabbage-proud husband
  • a washerwoman and a fisherman who keeps getting becalmed
  • an old gardener who still talks to her late husband's roses
  • an inventor who wants to catch lightning in a jar
• 12 hidden sky wonders to find by experimenting.
• A living valley: crops grow with your rain, washing dries in the sun, and kids fly kites on windy afternoons. Umbrellas come out when you make it rain on people.
• Endless Sky mode keeps the seasons turning after the story ends.
• No game over. A missed wish just tells a different story.

• Gather a cloud: hold on the sky
• Move a cloud: drag it
• Rain on/off: click or tap a cloud
• Pick a tool: keys 1–5 or the tool bar
• Turn the camera: right-drag or Q/E
• Zoom: scroll or pinch
• Move the camera: WASD
• Pause / speed up: Space / F
• Journal: J
• Talk: click a villager to hear what they have to say

The free demo is the whole of spring: four days with the Cloud and Wind tools. The full game adds:
